Even though she is the creator of THE UNBOXED, Devanshi has always been hiding away from the spotlight wanting to give others a chance to shine. But as a team we wanted the world to know about her and the reason why today THE UNBOXED is a important part of many.

1. How long have you been here in Ahmedabad?

My hometown is Vapi, and I have been in Ahmedabad since 2012, so that is four and a half years.

2. So how did you merge here? Perusing Writing along with degree needs a lot of support , and passion becomes profession with courage and lot of hard work.

Well, I was the NEW GIRL IN THE CITY when I had started writing for the very first time. Being an introvert at that time, i.e 4½ years with very few friends to talk with in a whole new area of humans, writing down my thoughts was the best idea I could have had ever thought of. Scribbles turned into quotes, quotes turned into notes, notes turned into prose and short stories. And then almost after 4 months of entering Ahmedabad, I had

completed my first novel on Wattpad : Kiara's Secret . The unexpected response from the readers there gave me confidence to go on. In almost 6-7 months I had got 14k reads. My parents have been really supportive. So have been my friends. They have encouraged me a lot when I suffered a major writer's block which had made me turn down my blog. This city has given me the power to think differently, in different perspectives. Writing has been like the only path for me to express my inner thoughts in front of everybody. It is passion, a connection between me, my soul and the world. It has personally developed me too as a person being it my personality or my vocabulary. Writing is like expressing all those hidden musings of yourself which are left inside unspoken. Writing has made me mature. It had made a patient person with all new vision and air to breathe. Writing has given birth a new life to me.

3. Okay. That is fantastic. Congratulations on such a widespread read! So what is your hot favorite - poetry, abstract or short stories?

Frankly, I am more of a story person. I like to elaborate everything and make my writings realistic for people such that they can imagine and feel what I am while writing it down. Some day I wish to write script too. Bit on the other hand, poetry has been something really close to me. It helped me to feel emotions in a better way. Being a writer, I shouldn't be hesitating in writing the unsaid but I did. So, I started writing poetry to explore myself and it did encourage me to write the deep down words. 4. That is nice! So Devanshi, what drove you to create THE UNBOXED? How did that happen?

Well, I struggled a lot while writing: To write something meaningful and to get recognized. There are a lot of people, who write just to pen down their inner self but there are many who think that writing is the bridge that connects them with the world and feel to be a part of the inner circle than being lonely or an outcast. People write to connect. And somewhere being a rookie in this I felt, I wasn't that successful in connecting or building a platform for myself where people came and read my work. And with time, staying alone in a cit kicked in depression too. Jumbling all of this, to prick that bubble of loneliness and help other writers to overcome the same problem I had, that's when THE UNBOXED came in the scene.

5. So what are your plans to progress with this? How do you plan to lead your team in future? Any new updates coming our way?

We have a lot of projects coming up. Some of them being a monthly e-magazine, an anthology and great challenges.

6. What would be the scene if not The Unboxed?

I had a novel in making which I gave up for this writer's community. So if this community would not have been there, I would have been sitting on my bed, with lots of blankets, apples and my Macbook and would have been writing that unfinished story.

7. Describe yourself in few sentences.

My soul is a wave, free from the 3 - dimensional reality, to endlessly create myself, through the language of unspoken.

I get inspired and write on the basis of my life experiences and prefer to be called as a Memoirist. I love having eloquent heart - to - hearts and strongly believe that ink is the art that draws the map if the voiceless emotions.

I am a coffee and elephant lover.

8. Your favorite quote?

"It’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” - Marilyn Monroe

You need to bring out that spark in you to live your life to the fullest. And I believe that we are not a single person, we are a mix of different souls residing in one body then why not explore and exploit them to the best.

9. Favorite Poet?

Has to be Yashodhaan Burange hands down. I don't need to explain why, his work speaks for himself.

10. You have been a part of an anthology called " Blessed Despair ". Tell us about it.

I was searching for publishing houses to get my work featured when I friend suggested me to participate in the anthology hosted by Artson Publishing house. It was intimidating, you know to be a part of something this big. A lot of writers applied and it was such a surreal moment for me when I got to know that I was one of the selected from that long list. The process of writing on the theme of the book, editing, branding, finance and everything needed was handled in such a perfect way that it did not just gave me an idea of how to write things in a better way but also how to work as a professional and how to manage all this in a perfect way.

11. What support you got for your first book? Getting launched on this big scale is tough.

My mother was my biggest support. She always has been specially for my writing. She keeps on giving me ideas on how to and what to write on and she did the same while this book.

12. What will your autobiography say?

"There is never a THE END until you want it to be."

13. Devanshi Doshi has created a new era in the field of writing and is surely an inspiration for many, any thing you would want to convey?

Me ? Inspirational? That really made me happy. I always wanted to inspire people for not any obvious reason but I want someday, someone to tell looking at me, " That's my role model."

At last. nothing much but, "Words are your playground. Enjoy them as much as you can."

That was catchy! I hope people will admire us through not only by our work but the dedicated minds like you we have among us! Interviewing you was such a bliss! Thank-you for setting an example for people by stating that anyone, if dedicated, can achieve what one wants!

Thank you
