The rain falls and the ambiance of the rooftop get enhanced by it,
well I took a sip of my tea and started to glare,
it feels like someone summoned to cover it like a blanket to all the dryness,
I glare those joy images of the birds and their feathers perching out like
they're too thanking the blissful rain and singing out loud
the old melody "how beautiful is the rain".
Another sip makes me feel about the world softening
around the edges and the petrichor the earthy smell nudging my on my nose ,
the shoes of the children hoping down the streets
and the streets acting like a mirror producing small images in the narrow lane.
- Rishab Kundu
It felt like the world has stopped spinning by that time
Perhaps a drop of sweat froze around my left cheek
I can still feel the smell of the incoming rain
And as you sipped your tea,
I unfolded my guards and broke free
I have so lived in fear, in hopes, in despair, in questions
How will you react, how will you judge, will you stay, will you leave ?
But for once, I chose the light, the magic in your smile
When you hear the raindrops, when you smell your darjeeling flavoured
Meet me in the eyes, isn't that worth falling , for lines unanswered?
You could still say a NO, and my world would fall apart
Get moist, soaked, and may never be a strong in heart
But I would still take my faith, I would still believe in magic,
As whenever I count the last of my breaths,
Not regrets, but only love shall flow in my veins.
- Mainak Guha
As I sipped my cup of tea,
The thoughts that rushed began to drain
The smell of earth simultaneously triggered my soul,
As it got the acknowledgement of rains!
It bought me down to the memory lane,
Where I used to share my every sip.
Along with those words of my mind,
I used to rejoice with her,and those complaints used to get wiped!
The drizzles now always remind me of the time;
Whenever I get our,for them to make me shine,
Absorbing each and every drop through the giggles;
As With them,
Everything just seems normal,
Everything just gets fine!
- Divya Gulabani
Holding my cup of tea
Here I stand in the balcony ,
Watching those greens
Get drenched in the thunderous rain,
I close my eyes
And turn the volume down
Of everything else near,
Just focusing on the voices of
All the water drops,
I chuckle when I come to know
That they are talking about,
The love story they wrote
When they visited a different city some days ago,
Some of them took a halt in my tea
Smiling at me while drowning the in brown
Reminding me of my love tale
Which had started 2 years back in the rain
Though today their smiles had an alter
Giving me hope
That he'll come back
Assuring "we are here, to be your backbone".
